    Mag.a Natalie Strasser is the founder of Origins Austria. A trained lawyer, she has outstanding professional expertise in Austrian citizenship law and specializes in legal support for immigrants, who seek residency permits and citizenship integration in Austria. 

    Natalie has a Jewish-Russian family history marked by profound systemic experiences of extermination, displacement, and flight to Palestine/Israel. She is deeply engaged in exploring the impact of transgenerational trauma and its healing resolution through civic engagement.

    Julia Buxbaum, MSc BA pth studied psychotherapy science and obtained a master’s degree in social and public communication. She also accomplished her certificate in psychological and social counseling and is currently concluding her studies in social work. She gained profound experience in assisting individuals on their path of personal development and supporting people in crisis situations with a recent focus on children and young adults.

    Julia has always taken great interest in the history of the Shoah, with a specific focus on transgenerational trauma. She invested extensive time and attention to gain expertise in related topics, such as trauma and healing from trauma, ethnic and political persecution and identity. Julia engages with the topic not only professionally but also seeks connection through the arts and culture such as literature, film and fine arts. She contributes to Origins Austria especially in her capacities as psychological counsellor, communicator and mediator.

    Mag.a Dr.in Christina Kleiser is a historian and philosopher specializing in the ethics of remembrance related to how we engage with Austria’s Nazi past. Her current interest centers on the peace-building effects of bearing witness to childhood trauma in the context of psycho-emotional health and resilience.

    Christina brings to Origins Austria a wealth of experience in research and research management, combined with her expertise in trauma-sensitive process facilitation. Her work spans resilience-strengthening support for children and biographical storytelling with individuals experiencing memory loss and those in their final stages of life.
